Divisional Playoff Round

Each of the four teams in the divisional playoff round will play the other three teams in his division three games each.  Home and away will continue through the nine games the same as the previous round.  If a die roll is needed, high roll is home for games one and three.  The winner of each division automatically advance to quarter-finals.

If there are four divisions, then all the second place teams advance as well.

If there are five divisions, then three of the second place teams will advance.  The second place team with the best record will automatically advance to the quarter-finals.  The second place team with the second best record will play a shootout with the second place team with the fifth best record, with the winner advancing to the quarter-finals.  The second place team with the third best record will play a shootout with the second place team with the fourth best record, with the winner advancing to quarter-finals.

If there are six divisions, then two of the second place teams will advance.  The second place teams with the two best records will get a bye in the first shootout round.  The second place team with the third best record will play a shootout with the team with the sixth best record, the winner will play a shootout with the second place team with the best record with the winner advancing to the quarter-finals.  The second place team with the fourth best record will play a shootout with the second place team with the fifth best record, the winner will play a shootout with the second place team with the second best record with the winner advancing to the quarter-finals.

If there are seven divisions, then one of the second place teams will advance.  The second place team with the best record will get a bye in the first shootout round.  The second place team with the second best record will play a shootout with the team with the seventh best record.  The second place team with the third best record will play a shootout with the team with the sixth best record.  The second place team with the fourth best record will play a shootout with the team with the fifth best record with the winner playing a shootout with the second place team with the bye.  The winners of the other two shootouts will then play a shootout.  The remaining two teams then play a shootout to determine who advances to the quarter-finals.

All divisional ties will be broken by head-to-head match ups.  This includes ties between more the two divisional foes.  Any tie for an automatic berth that is non-divisional will be determined by a shootout.

All division winners will be the top seeds in the quarter-finals, with the better record determining the seeding.  The second place teams will be seeded next with the better record determining the seeding.

The better record is always determined by winning percentage.  The divisional selectors can select a bye at any point instead of a player.  Whether a division selector selects a bye or player will determine how many games that division plays and may affect the winning percentages of the players involved in tie breakers.
